This survey is focused in on the business issues and education needs in high-technology firms operating in the Americas and in Asia.  The survey is carried out during the first half of 2003, and its results will be distributed by the end of 2003.

PLEASE NOTE that all answers will be treated with full confidentiality.  The survey results will be reported in summaries only, with no reference to any specific company.  Still, if you wish to stay anonymous, you can skip parts of questions 1 and 2 that identify you and your company.  They questionnaire is divided in:

            SECTION A    Profile and Key Organizational Characteristics of the Firm,
            SECTION B    Market, Product  and  Intellectual Property Issues
            SECTION C    Strategy Issues and Challenges
            SECTION D    Knowledge and Human Resources Management,
            SECTION E    Technology Management and Operational Challenges,
            SECTION F    Venture Financing and Risk Management, and 
            SECTION G    Overall Environment and Performance of the Firm.

The answers to these questions should reflect the position of a business unit that may be a separate company, or a division or facility in a larger company. The questions in the questionnaire should be answered by the international manager or a person with equivalent position.

If you do not have the answer to some of the questions, skip them, but please respond to the rest of the questions.  We would much rather have a partially completed questionnaire back than none at all.
