When getting a project started what is the one thing that is need the most is money. Without it nothing gets off the ground and nothing happens. There are unlimited amount of ways to finance a project but the one I talk about are the more well known ways of doing it.

Development Banks

Development Banks are established to assist poor countries financially in the fight against poverty. They can be national or regional and provide medium to long-term capital for investments that are promising to generate profit in those areas needed improvement. There are development banks in all over the world, each specifies in helping its region such Development Bank of Latin America, Development Bank of Asia, Development Bank of Africa, etc…  Besides lending out money, development banks also involve in settling trade agreement, infrastructure and energy issues.

Mark to Market Accounting

The background history of Mark to Market accounting is unclear, but some said it was develop by multinational companies that made business in different markets where price-up was available in order to account for higher profits. The use of mark to market accounting took strength in the 1980’s between big commercial banks, future traders, and corporation; however, the use of this new type of accounting raised controversies and scandals in the market place.

Mexican Peso Crisis of 1994

The Mexican peso crisis all started on New Year’s Day in the State of Chiapas by a radical activist from Mexico City who started a leftist rebellion. Chiapas had legitimate complaints about the Mexican Government in Mexico City, however a rebellion was the last thing that the people in Mexico needed. In 1993 Mexico seemed to be doing fairly well but in 1994 Mexico had many problems.

Containerization

“Containerization (or containerisation) is a system of intermodal freight transport using standard ISO containers (known as shipping containers, ITUs (Intermodal Transport Units or isotainers) that can be loaded and sealed intact onto container ships, railroad cars, planes, and trucks.” The introduction of containers had a great impact on efficiency and transporting goods from A to B. Almost every good that is consumed in today’s world has spent some time in a container.
